This photo is from the Mad River museum in Ohio on the NKP X29. Center to center appears to be about 19. Again I am at about 18 and **am not revising it again**. The goal now is to fix broken PRS grab irons. It was not the goal when I started.
I have learned these things come in lots of lengths. The car that started this grab iron blitz is a PRR boxcar I am fixing up. Right from a real PRR drawing there are some that are 25 ¾ center to center. That is longer than most I have seen.
