There was a time, many years ago, when I may have said... ok, I admit it - I DID say... that there would never be a PRR model on my layout. But today, I recant that statement... and replace it with an order for at least 1 of these models.
Bill, as there were TWO orders for these, were the cars in both orders IDENTICAL or did they vary at all in any way? and how many were built for each order? Road numbers? It was made by the Greenville Car Co and was similar to a C&O car which River Raisin released many years ago. I campaigned for this car to be made at that time in my ALL PRR all the time mode but it was not to be. "It was seen all over the country in a variety of services including large transformer shipments". It is a 125 ton car that is 52'-8" long. Thank You, Bill Lane
