Today, I got quite a lot done on my second module, as far as functionality is concerned, and started thinking about the third.
Now the first two modules establish a second line, in addition to the clubs two track loop, and this will be the first module where I'll start to do some of the things I couldn't do on the two track main. Specifically, I'm planning to merge a White Pass and Yukon Sn3 line (depicted in RED in the following link), with the single track line (depicted in BLACK in the following link), and pulling up to the station as a dual gauge line (Purple). FYI; The grey lines depict roads. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/photos/album/140363478/pic/845914485/view?picmode=large&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&dir=asc I'm ASSUMING that I could make a 45 degree turn with the SN3 within the first two feet of the module and then run straight for the next two feet*, past the station, making it easy to extend this line in the future and (possibly) connect to other Sn3 modules IF a standard exists that would allow this. Since a significant portion of this will be Dual Gauge, I'm going to have to adhere to S-mod like standards for these single track sections (2, preferably 4ft. increments). What I'm wondering about, is the radius of the curve. If I make the curve too tight or too loose, it'll prevent this section from seamlessly merging with other modules. Thus, I need to know if there is an S-mod-like standard for Sn3 and/or Dual Gauge modules. *The module where the Sn3 splits away from the Standard Gauge line will repeat this process, thus making the length of the straight Dual auge section an increment of 4ft. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
