Dear Bill,
Once we started to produce these, the NMRA numbers for AF comp. wheelsets
became irrelevant. They had "hirail" numbers previous to these and we did look
at them when we were developing our AF comp. wheelsets (about 1993). We were
warned by several other S mfgs. not to use the NMRA hirail standards. I knew
from my days on the NASG standards committee that the NMRA was not very
interested in updating their standards from code 125 to the code 110. But, now
that is all water under the bridge, and quite frankly my interest in AF comp.
was strictly based on moving product and not me wanting to model AF comp.
