Correct ends (to match the SAL car) were available from Ted Culotta's operation 
- Speedswitch Media.  He may not be operating any longer (not sure), but I 
managed to get some of the last of his correct ends for my two Athearn models.  
But such a small detail, even in S scale, would be an easy and fairly cheap 
option for a manufacturer to offer as an option.

  AAR 65'6" mill gon. Good choice. Seaboard's had postwar-type ends due to 
their 1949 construction date, but some earlier cars had the ends on the Athearn 
model.
