I agree with you, Ed, and don't like the DCC-friendly moniker. They are really what you said, more "short resistant". Unfortunately, the mainstream media and modelers (HO diesel crowd) has already determined the name for us. The same problem exists at turnouts with both DC and DCC, it's just that the consequences are worse with DCC. Actually the same consequences existed with earlier analog command control systems, it's just that there were a much smaller number of us using it.
