Hi Ed, It might also be based on what they can afford? My Grandpa and my Great
uncle had farms near each other when
I was a kid. Grandpa had a big old moline plus a smaller fergie while my great
uncle who had more land and money had a new Farmall plus a fergie. They both
seemed to like the smaller fergies for many of the tasks and used them more
than the bigger tractors as far as I can recall. Of course I only spent summers
on the farms so might not have gotten a true picture of the usage....DaveBranum
