> My point is does anyone know who Kristi Jouben is?
Makes no difference who she is. If you'd like MTH or Lionel to know of your
thoughts, the best way to accomplish that is to write to them. If you don't
want MTH or Lionel to know your thoughts, then they will both be forced to
guess -- and might guess wrong.
> Are you writing to MTH as "rumor has it" and commenting what you feel should

Not at all. I wrote to both firms to suggest products that they should produce
to keep the scale side of S happy and content. No need to mention anything
about any rumor if you don't want to. However, asking for a rumor to be
clarified might be a reasonable thing to request. Then we'd know for sure.
Nothing wrong with knowing for sure. Beats guessing in my book.

If MTH is soliciting opinions, it is not too late to influence the outcome. A
picture of a B-unit in the catalog will not show if it has a motor or not. The
text, prices, descriptions can all be revised at the last minute if there is an
outpouring of responses from the potential customers within the next month or
so.
As stated before, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain by informing
a manufacturer of your preferences. Deliberately refusing to do so is rather
nutz in my opinion.
