Peter, I was thinking about that too. I have a couple of shots of the Soo Line Boxcar at the Illinois State Museum. If all that is required would be different sides, it's a shoe-in for some of my cash! The only question that comes to mind, the stock car that Wisconsin Central made was a 36', while I thought the SOO's Fowler BC's were 40'--I'll have to check my photos. I suppose it's possible both lengths were made.

Hi Bill, Al;

Lovely looking model.

Interestingly, the car appears to be based on the same design as the classic SOO LINE "sawtooth" Fowler boxcar. With solid sides and a new door, I suspect you would be there.

Later era modelers might want a Murphy XLa roof, like the SHS USRA cars, but that's an easy change.

    I saw test pieces for the stock car at CJSS. It is very nice.

    I designed the stirrup steps for it, and have them for sale
    separately now. Contact me directly if you have interest in buying
    the stirrup steps only.

    Thank You,
