The KINSMAN plans seem to be generic, a sort of taking the average of what a SS car looked like. Thus, adjustments are required if one wishes to model a particular prototype, and that's what I want to do. Two prototypes that come to mind are the M&StL 24000-series SS box cars and the SOO LINE sawtooth cars. I think both can be done using the KINSMAN kits. Someone mentioned that the kits are labor intensive. Yes, that is probably the reason that I still have not undertaken them. I intend to though. Thanks to all for their insights, comments, and suggestions.
