I agree with the SHS USRA as a starting point. In h.o., I used to bash GLa's 
out of USRA's befor Bowser came out with them. I think, you need to remove 1 
scale foot from the top of the car, taper the side ribs, fab new ends, and a 
few other minor things. BTW, GLa's  had vertical and power hand brakes.
