The first three cars in the Allegheny Western Subdivision passenger car fleet have emerged from the paint shop!
The cars are American Models heavyweight coaches. The paint scheme borrows heavily from the late1940's/early 1950's all-blue B&O scheme. Gold vents were added to the roofs using HO vents, with styrene discs added to increase their overall size for S-scale. The underbody details include B&O-standard York air conditioning equipment -- I created styrene masters and cast them in Alumilite. I still must add handrails and interior details.
More Allegheny Western cars are working their way through the company shops, and will be run along with standard B&O cars during operating sessions.
