Anthony, I suspect Don Thompson will respond to this question but I have had to replace headlights on two of my Tsunami-equipped SHS Consolidations. After doing some trouble shooting, including making sure the little contact tabs between the boiler and boiler front were not corroded and were making good contact, and making sure all the CV's were correct, we wound up simply replacing the complete boiler front, light and all. As I recall, Don commented that the difficulty in replacing the LED within the boiler front was a design change he would have made if he could do it again. By the way, I was never able to determine what caused the LEDs to fail as the engines had been in service for several years, so it wasn't 'infant mortality' and no catastrophic shorts or other events occured that might have caused otherwise reliable LEDs to fail.
