Before the S-Scale police yell at me again, the signature should have been my
full name with location.

Subject: Dual decoders: Thank you

Gentlemen and (if we are so lucky) Ladies:

I wish to thank all that provided advice and comments about dual decoders in
models. Many felt it was a bad idea -- unless we are talking about one in the
locomotive and one in the tender.

Thanks to whoever found the 3 amp Soundtraxx upgrade. Although there is a lot
of space inside the boiler of an American Flyer 0-8-0, there isn't enough space
for this version. I did bookmark the page for future reference.

I have a Digitrax Soundbug and a Digitrax DH465 on my workbench. These are
intended to piggyback. Intiail programming is easy: do them one-by-one on the
workbench. But I haven't known how to independently program them once
installed. Thank you for teaching me about CV15 and CV16. I know I printed
it. I just have to find the advice on how to initially set them up.

The locomotive is making good progress in its conversion from AC motor with
bridge rectifier to a full DCC locomotive with sound and an S-n-S slow speed
can
motor. I have stripped the locomotive and tender shell. Next is to wash them,
mount them, and they are ready for the paint shop with a dip-paint job of Polly
S Steam Power Black.
