The pilot mechanism was discussed on the S-Scale side of the O Gauge Trains 
forum. (Where my missionary work is more effective.)

It's the S Scale version of how pilots were mounted on the Lionel's O Gauge 
GEVO Hybrid locomotive of a year or two ago.

I will admit, I don't know how well it works, won't know until the SD70's are 
delivered.
