Appreciate your input Rich... I guess the question for me is do I buy Lionel or MTH? I plan on picking up a pair of SD70ACe's and learned a long time ago that different builders "proprietary" electronic platforms seldom play well together in the same sand box; so one of each is a non-starter. My inclination is to go with Lionel since I've been reasonably impressed with the U33. I've revamped the electronics and frame mounted those swiveling pilots that seem to scare the bejesus out of some folks. We call ourselves modelers for goodness sake... figure it out and do some modeling!
The Y-3 is also a non-starter; sorry just doesn't measure up to the brass fleet. I suppose if all else fails you can use the advice Bob Nicholson passed out many years ago... put a white line through the number and have your diesels haul it off to the scrap line! Bob do you remember who you said that too?? I do!!! All said in good fun years ago and again now... <G> Jim Kindraka Plymouth, WI --- In [email protected], "richgajnak" <rustytraque@...> wrote: > > The pilot mechanism was discussed on the S-Scale side of the O Gauge Trains > forum.
