Talking with some O Scalers, there is a company that takes apart MTH and Brass steam locomotives and re-grinds the flanges and also regauages them for Proto-48. I am sure the same company would be interested in doing that to the Linel mike and Y locomotives. And yes, they are more than happy to charge you for this service. Unfortunaly, I do not have the name of the Company that does this.
I am sure we can research this and see how practical it is. Also, I know some scalers have extra mike wheel sets to gring down.
