Tom,
I asked Lionel about the scale wheels. Without pre-orders they will not do
them. The catalogue is a wishbook. They announce something but rely on
pre-orders  to off set the cost of having to make new tooling. If they get
enough pre-orders they will know the market is out there for them to go ahead
with production. That is why Jim king does it the way he does. He looks for
pre-orders to see if it is worth the effort to produce. Not enough pre-orders
he cancels that kit.

. . . . . . . . We need to send in a pre-order so they know it is worth the
trouble to get the tooling made. . . . . . . . . . . .

Thanks Alan, but I think you've said that before.

If you did not talk to them about the "yes scale wheels" ~~ "no scale
wheels" confusion , you wasted your time.
