Ken, What do you mean by a "new" MRC decoder? Is it the MRC 1822 for S scale which I thought that they stopped making about a year ago and sold out or is it something entirely new with which they just came out? I have a few AM GP9s and a GP20 low nose conversion with the MRC 1822 sound decoders. They have their limitations (prime mover, horn, and bell volume settings), but at least they can be set on the function keys as they are running. Just make sure that you replace the headlights with LEDs or you will damage that part of the decoder. Thank you.
