Purely going on speculation - I would be happy but extremely surprised if
anything MTH produces in S from now on that was SHS will be sold for the
same price SHS last offered it for. I have not looked at eBay prices lately.
I sold a sealed case of 48 pieces of flex track about 6 months ago for not
much more than I paid for it which was list price. By the time eBay chomped
their take I was luckily just at break even. This case was the very last of
2 cases ever sold by SHS. I still have just over ½ case left over which
might go up for sale at some point as well.

 

It always has been pricey track especially when compared anything HO. I will
be done with my need for code 139 turnouts in a few months tops, but MTH
making a good #6 turnout would greatly enhance the flex track usefulness.
