RMC editor Bill Schaumburg kindly gave us permission to post a PDF of this
article online. If you look in the "links" section of the Workshop's blog,
you'll find it listed. You will also find an article that appeared in Canadian
Railway Modeller - also posted with permission from CRM's editor Morgan Turney.

That's correct. The layout is built as a series of modules using an S scale
adaptation of the (HO scale) Free-mo standard. This means the modules can be
set up in any order. It also means we can flip modules end for end - so a
right-hand corner can become a left-hand corner, for example.

The benefit is, if a member can't make it out to a show, the other members can
still assemble a layout from their modules. We can also rearrange the shape of
the layout to fit different exhibition spaces - from straight-line along a
wall, to L, S or U shaped.

Cheers!
