well all:
since pieter has provided the answer, or at least one answer, of how
to contact
mr. zahornacky, perhaps someone who is in contact with this person, can
simply ask the question "who", i have never been a fan of the "ogr",
simply
because of the mindless "me-tooism's" of the participants, and
outside of one
or two individuals, the constant "patting my self on the back" for
the good job
that i have accomplished attitude, that prevails on the site, but in
the interest
of putting this subject to rest permanently any assistance would be
appreciated

Hello Mel;
Jon Zahornacky is the "Chief Technology Officer" for Lionel.
Basically, he designs and writes code for the electronics inside
the models and may also make decisions about other aspects of the
design like swinging pilots, "China" drive power truck vs. center
motor drive, etc.
It appears Ed knows how to contact him, but in the spirit of
teaching us how to fish rather than giving us a fish, wants us to
do the leg work. I will not say anymore since Ed. is currently
indisposed from posting to the list for reasons not directly
related his methods of prompting us to "get some skin in the game".
Probably the easiest way to contact him is to sign up for the O
Gauge Railroading forum. They have a S scale section on which a
number of people from this list also post, and Jon answers
questions there as well. The link is:

The other option is to type "Jon Zahornacky CTO Lionel" into your
favorite search engine and you will find information about him
within the first couple of links.

since my original question has been re-directed, perhaps someone
can enlighten myself
as to what a 'cto' is?, in the case of jon zahornacky?, it appears
that i missed some emails,
and the last question, pertaining to mr. zahornacky, is why doesn't
someone who is in
contact with this individual, simply ask him, for directions to the
persons in charge of af
planning? rather than playing dialing for dollars or phone
roulette? if this info is
privilege or confidential, i'm sure we will be told so, and this
will serve to end numerous efforts
