Jack & Paul,

The tender wheels I re-gauged by simply spreading the wheels out on the
original Bachmann axle. I did not have a quarting jig to fit the drivers, so I
disassembled the drive and mailed the drivers on their axles to NWSL. They
made longer axles (3mm diameter), pressed on the drivers and re-gauged &
quartered them. They turned them around in about 10 days and, although the
exact cost excapes me, I believe it came to about $70 with shipping and
everything.

The loco, with DCC and Tsunami sound, cost me $199. Add the cost from NWSL,
plus the detail parts, and a very nice running S scale steam locomotive can be
had equipted with DCC and sound for a little over $300! If you have the right
size quartering jig, the cost could be even less.
