Thanks for starting another album for 2013. Now if you could only get me started! So far the only things accomplished have been to get things from the paint shop back into running order, and buy another diseasel, an SD-7 that needs some superstructure overhaul. At least I have it broken in and it is running well, though it has the usual Ajin noise in the running gear (sound system? It don’t need no stinkin’ sound system – apologies to “Blazing Saddles”)... Bill Winans ---------------------------- Since we are well on our way into 2013, I started a photo album for our models under construction this year, continuing a tradition started by Dave Branum. I have included a prototype and 2 model pics of the Des Plaines USRA composite gondola with Van Dorn ends. My research has not found any road but the Monon to use these ends on a gondola, although I can find them on boxcars. Since it is such a unique pattern, I had to have some of these cars on my layout.
