Hi David --

This is an almost impossible to answer question. First off, how many people
do NOT belong to any organization, yahoo group or similar, and yet still model
in S in any version? We can extrapolate, but at best that is a guess.
This particular yahoo group is supposed to be generally scale S modelers, so
what you get here would not be an accurate overall answer. You are also not
likely to get the narrow gauge input either, though I think we can safely say
they are all generally scale – but how many of them (us) are there compared to
the total population of S modelers? It is possible that when narrow gauge
modelers are included, that they are a significant percentage of the total, but
unaccounted for in the usual S scale numbers.

Have fun!

This maybe retread, but what percentage of us use body-mounted couplers, scale
flanges and maybe some modicum of detail, without consideration of whether they
are NMRA members as such.
