Will wonders never cease. Can't believe that an s-scale person said that about AF. However, I have to agree with you. AF was not bad 65 years ago when I got my first 312 Pacific set, but it certainly is more enjoyable now running SHS and AM engines on SHS track. Anyhow, there must be hope for us yet!

That reminds me of the time when I was out with my modular group about a decade ago. We used AM code 148 track, scnery was probably about 35% finished.

I was running a repainted American Flyer 283 and some ex-beater freight cars that had been repainted and lettered with Champ HO decals.

One guy looked at the layout and commented "Too bad you can't run Flyer on this" as my train "Choo-Chooed" right under his nose!!!

With few exceptions(Franklin, Casey Jones and the so-called F9's) I've always considered American flyer as scale...

Just low resolution.
