Chris,
This is Lee McCarty, President of the Cuyahoga Valley S Gaugers here
in Cleveland. If you are interested in promoting S Scale, I have a
proposition for you.
This March 16 and 17 the NMRA Division Five of Ohio will be hosting a
two day model train show at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio,
on Cleveland's east side. Their usual attendence is over five thousand
people. Our club will have a major showing there with our tinplate layout for
the kids, and a hi-rail layout for the adults. We do this every year to
promote S scale, or gauge, or whatever you want to call it this week.
We also have a fully operational, sceniced, scale layout ready to set
up and operate. It can be as small as 15 by 15 or as large as 58 by 18 if
we use all the straight sections. We will not be using it because frankly,
we can't find any scale people willing to man it or bring enough scale
equipment to operate it.
You and any help you may bring will be showing to the very same
modelers that everyone has been saying is the best potential market for S,
members of the NMRA. We have the space available to set up the layout, can you
or
any others in the scale world provide the manpower and the equipment to
make it happen? Lee

Yup, you found me out. I live in Ohio and I like to promote S Scale model
railroading to the model railroading community at large. So... what did that
 kind of explain to you?
