Nice response.
My impression is that NASG is THE bottle-neck in all this: trying to
appease the AF market that is just as, or even more, likely to be part
of TCA (TCS? TCA is an anti-depressant...) whereas NMRA, for all it's
faults, would push things a bit further away from toy trains.
Still, if I say that in public, I won't be viewed as "nice cop" to your
"bad cop"...
