Throughout the years I have been very lucky to have my friend Gus build me models because he was making similar HO models for himself so the mood was right - like these trucks. There are multiple "Gus trucks" and other models on my layout. The trucks were mostly made from the 60s Aurora kits. Gus also built my REA building for me. http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout_Photos/REA_1.jpg
Yesterday was payback time for him so this is how I spent my Saturday afternoon. http://www.lanestrains.com/G39_Machining.htm They are HO cars I chomped on but they could have been S Scale. The way the car was designed and came apart was just perfect. I could not have asked for it to be any different or better. Also any time I get to use my Big Green Machine is nothing but fun! Today's work will be something S Scale related. I might start to paint my 2) L1 and 2) I1 that have been blasted for 2 months now. I also want to make some progress on my Sellright reefer. It is good to mix smaller easier projects in between the massive "when will it ever be done" projects.
