The CB&Q's K&W local returned to Mooar yard from Centerville, IA, this evening, bringing in five cars of grain and a load of coal for The Humongous Co. NW-2 #605 put the caboose away and tied up under the hours of service on the scale track. SHABBONA will spot the inbound cars for unloading, after which a new train will be made up sent out on the K&W.
#605 will head for the Mooar engine house at first opportunity for servicing before leaving town. boB Nicholson _________________________________________________ --- In [email protected], "shabbona_rr" <user141771@...> wrote: > > CB&Q NW-2 #605 been working at Mooar Yard while "breaking in" after arriving > last week. during the break-in, a loose pick-up wire made itself manifest. > Increasing the pressure on the back of the offending wheel solved the > problem, and operations have been flawless. > > During further testing, #605 did some switching at The Humongous Co., > switching the power house and diggingout some "Q" loads on the outer loading > track.
