Bill,

We've talked before regarding the plasticville interlocking tower (something about great minds thinking alike). Mine has still avoided an airbrush, but it's on the short list.

Some months ago I had inquired about interior details and the old style levers, which are now available in laser cut wood. Two weeks ago we were involved in a RR museum fund raiser where a restored tower was open. I'm attaching a photo of their interlocking machine. Is it the pneumatic system you have installed?

Hi Roger --
Thank you for the comments. I has an interior with figures, desk, lighting, etc.. A lot of the exterior add-ons are to hide the oversized doorways that were original to the building. Most of the modifications are extrapolations from the many photos of real towers I looked at before starting the final detailing. I thought about putting in the manual lever interlocking, but that would have been way to much trouble and also would have required all the interlocking rodding running around the trackwork – a nifty thing to look at, but entirely too much work and too susceptible to damage from careless hands or errant rolling stock. When the Irish Tracklayer came out with pneumatic power turnout details, it all fit ...
Have fun!

Bill W.,
That’s about the neatest interpretation of the Plasticville tower that I’ve seen! I like the shed addition with the enclosure for the entrance. A place to shake off the slicker and dump the wet boots.
