... but here it is: Speeder.
Having looked through the archives for this newsgroup, I see there's been much talk in months/years past about the desire for an operating speeder in S scale. Meantime, my search of the Internet has turned up only ONE, non-operating model for a classic speeder in 1:64 - namely, the white metal kit from Keith Wiseman, which is actually labelled as "Sn3": http://www.locopainter.com/store/product.php?id=816 I would like something similar to the Wiseman kit - as a static model - for my layout. So, my questions to the group: - Is the Wiseman kit the only one available? Or has somebody else produced a small speeder as a detail part for S? - If it's the only one available, has anybody built one and standard gauged it? I'm wondering whether the body itself is to narrow to do this without it looking goofy. Or, perhaps, you've used this kit as a parts donor to scratch-build one? Thanks in advance for any insights! - Trevor (preparing to scratch-build his S scale speeder if no other options are available...) --- Trevor Marshall Port Rowan in 1:64 I model a steam-era Canadian National branch line terminal in S scale, and blog about it here: http://themodelrailwayshow.com/cn1950s ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
