Rich, I forgot that the drivers are all gear driven, so yes using non bearing rods would work. I know some have made upgrades to these engines, cab interiors, headlight improvements, etc. Just wondered about the RB rods. I think what makes the tapered rods look funny to me is that their centers are black, maybe if they were not painted at all they'd look better? Bud Rindfleisch
