DAVE:
Ink jets can't print white. The white comes from the inherent background on the
Micro-Mark decal paper. It's there already. All you do is over-print the white
with colors. I did find a font that has a white interior with a black outline.
The only problem with that is that I had to cut out each letter individually.
Ugh! Pain in the posterior, but I really wanted that effect for a given model.

  ANDY & PIETER:
  Pieter is right. I started decal-making on a color laser. Not a good idea.
Ink jet is the only way to go. Laser printing lays down a closely-knit set of
granules that tend to disintegrate when cut for application. I make all of my
decals on a HP ink jet. I coat the sheets with at least two layers of Krylon
clear prior to cutting them out. Works great.

    Hi Andy;

    I would give them a light overcoat of clear. It's less important with laser
than ink jet, but you still would not want to scratch or run off the toner
while applying them!

decal paper using a colour laser printer. Should I overspray the lettering with
something before I use the decals?
