Hi Andre --

Yeah, I missed Friday, too. This week I decaled the rotary and its support
cars except the flanger. Somewhere my MOW decals have gotten misplaced...
I also decaled one side of the two narrow gauge bobber cabooses. I am not
sure I like the results and I have already ordered more decals that might be
more suited to the cars. Obviously, no clear coats until I am really happy
with the results!

I have Pete Moffett and his wife coming here tomorrow for a couple of days, so
most of the other work in the train room was aimed at reducing the booby trap
factor. Honey-dos were the order of the day for both yesterday and today in
order to be appropriately ready for our guests. Mother Nature is supposed to
be washing the windows tomorrow, so I let that slide, and same for the cars (oh
darn!)...

Have fun!

Time for FRIDAY NIGHT FUN!!

(Yeah, yeah, so it's Saturday. Didn't get home from work until nearly 9 PM
last night. I forgot about it... OKAY????)

* The decals that will be used as examples for some S scale sets arrived this
week. Hopefully, the finished S scale set will include a CB&Q "Blackbird"
switcher set with "Route Of The Zephyrs/Everywhere West" scheme and the block
letter "BURLINGTON" scheme. Also arriving in the order is a set of Missouri
Pacific decals in the early "Jenks Blue" scheme. I figure I'll have surplus
decals left over (on account of a minimum order number?). Anyone interested in
some of the suspected surplus sets once I know how much the sets will cost?

* Getting ready to put in an order to NWSL for the needed goodies to try a
repower on one of my AM Baldwins. My stock ones run pretty darn good... but
after viewing a video of a repowered one, I'm at least going to try ONE to see
if I can improve them, even if slightly. (What can I say? I'm a slow speed
performance junkie.) Here's a link to the video:

* I THINK I've come up with a way to attain my goal of super slow performance
using a Railmaster Alco S-2 body kit. BUT... still lots to think over on this
idea.

* Also been kickin' around some concept changes in my layout effort that would
be reflected in my modeling directions. Haven't thought it all through yet,
but some tweaks are being considered.

Well... that's it for me this week.

WHAT'CHA BEEN DOIN in S Scale'????
