Hi Risto, Did you try changing the "Vibrating alert" setting in the profile, as opposed to "Touch screen vibration"? The former should control vibra access via CHWRMVibra, and CHWRMVibra::VibraStatus() returns EVibraStatusNotAllowed if it's not on - even if touch screen vibra feedback is enabled.
Of course this is what happens on my C6 and according to SDK docs, no guarantee it hasn't been broken... If possible I'd really rather not tie PuTTY bell vibra to touchscreen vibration - mainly because I hate touch screen vibra feedback. :) I think screen vibra uses a pretty short pulse too, and the bell should be longer so that it's something you can realistically detect when the phone is in your pocket.
