It more like feature request.
I have a huge s3ql mounts 2-4T and big meta-data db 10-20GB
Each have archived data ( logs mostly ), I do not add there any new files.
Some times users user those files.
If I have a server/network issue, s3ql usually fail and I need to run long
( 6hours+ ) fsck and then remount it back.

*What if I have read only mode so If s3ql mount fails, restoring it would
cost nothing regard fsck.*

I read discussion threads with read-only , but usually it was about
multi-mount point.
