In other words, when replying to emails on this list, please do not put your reply above the quoted text, and do not quote the entire message you're answering to. This makes it unnecessarily hard for other readers to understand the context of your email. Why don't you compare hashes from the old metadata db to hashes from the new metadata db? If you don't have the old metadata db either, then comparing the current metadata with the currently stored data is pointless. S3QL is doing that for you automatically when retrieving an object.
