The new configuration mechanism introduced by S4-59 simplifies the
configuration of the platform, but the implementation should be improved.
* If possible we should try to minimize the impact of having fastpath
initialization for testing. In particular any duplicate or similar code should
be factored out.
* The deployment manager might also be integrated into the server class, since
what is now pluggable is the code archive fetchers implementations, not the
deployment manager.
