I am a Linux-Trainer and use to show my students how to configure Linux. I just can't believe that a new release is pushing Linux-Newbies to the terminal for such a simple thing as the configuration of the login screen. Why?? If Linux is supposed to become more like Windows, it is on a bad way. The strength of this OS is among others the fact that you can change it easily the way you want to - isn't it? Why isn't it possible to chose whether the username is shown or not? It seems to be a regression for me so I agree with some others here before me. :-(
