[Sab] installation

I am attempting to run Sablotron on Apache 1.3.14, php-4.0.4pl1, with the
.44 binary.

phpinfo() reveals the line:

sablot
Sablotron XSLT support enabled

but whenever I try to call xslt_[process|run|transform] I receive the error:
Fatal error: msgtype: error in d:\my documents\my webs\gooch\guestbook.php
on line 19.

my code is attached.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
