Everything around ./sage works (or "works") as before. Let's sort it out. I think your claim is just rushed and incorrect. You start an internal script instead of the canonical ./sage, and act surprised that they are not doing the same thing. If an internal undocumented stuff changed, and you relied on it in your work, it's not something crazy or ludicrous. Why did you assume that venv/bin/sage is what ./sage is using?
