They have updated their web page:

In short: MuPAD is now incorporated into Symbolic Math Toolbox by
Mathworks (the company behind matlab). Looking at the screen shots
suggests that you can still use MuPAD basically like before (although
I don't know about the command line interface). The new thing being
that you can also call MuPAD from a matlab environment.

So the core concern is the pricing policy: will they strive, as MuPAD
did before, to provide affordable quality computer algebra system?
Or not.

I am getting in touch with them (but that could take a couple days, as
I should first submit my habilitation thesis tomorrow).
