Since Sage integrates with Mathematica, the integration should be
tested against version 9. I don't have version 9.

I found the integration of Sage with Mathematica pretty poor myself.
It does allow one to recall earlier expressions, which the Mathematica
command line interface does not. But there is the open-source jmath

http://robotics.caltech.edu/~radford/jmath/

which uses the Mathematica API (MathLink), which works a lot better I feel.

I can't imagine that Wolfram Reserach would integrate with R via
pexpect. Unfortunately, I've never been that impressed with pexpect.

I wonder if R provides an interface for other programs to connect to
it. Without that, I can't imagine WRI would integrate wth R.
