Dear OpenDreamKit friends,

Ah, nothing like a good cup of tea after a serious sprint :-)

Time now for a little debriefing before we all let this mailing list
cool down after all the overheating of the last days. I could not
resist making a little video of our github activity:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM9zcfRtOqo

I particularly enjoy the end! As much as the swarm of e-mails, I
believe it showcases quite well what a dedicated team can achieve with
the right collaborative tools.

I had never done something like this before. It's been quite a
terrific experience for me. And a serious learning one that took me
more often than not outside of my comfort zone (that's how you
learn). Luckily, as the coordinator, I had no choice than to believe
that we could make it. So I just trusted your talent, ran and hoped;
and at the end we were all running together and we made it.

Whether or not the proposal is accepted, we can be proud of it. Sure,
there are imperfections; some of the language is bolder than what I am
comfortable with as well. But at the end we have a real scientific
proposal. One that is built bottom up from actual needs. One that will
enable us to do things in which we believe. One that builds on the
wisdom of a very diverse team which actually has much to do together.

Hmm, so many people to thank for so many things; I'll just single a
couple deeds of yours that I particularly appreciated.

Steve, thanks for bringing your vision into this project; among many
other things, your "Concept and Approach" sprint was a life saver.

Wolfram, your coyote teaching [1] was essential to the definition of a
common vision in this proposal; thanks for taking the time to share
your experience in a busy period, and all my wishes for the final
sprint with your other proposal!

Alex, thanks for your proactivity all along; it's good to be able to
count on people and just not have to worry about progress.

Hans, thanks for ``running blindly with me'' these last days. You
can't imagine how your support was comforting. The brainstorms with
you, Alex, Neil, ... were a great pleasure.

Speaking of which, Neil, looking forward a meeting in Sheffield for a
nice run in the woods and the hills, following the steps of Robin!

Michael, I usually end up being the LaTeX guru of the team. It was
such a blessing to have a meta guru to handle this all for us!

John, thanks for the super helpful tips, the depth of view, and the
dedication.

Hans Petter, thanks for participating as much as you could; very
helpful comments and edits at a critical time.

Work package leaders, Viviane, Clément, Dima, Luca, Michael, Mike, I
did not feel the need to put my nose in the WPs lately; I was just in
complete trust. What a relief!

Paul-Oliver: thanks for your point of view, your trust, and for
pushing Bremen in; great addition! And for the Dream as well!

Fernando: great people you pointed me to! That participated much to
the shaping of a beautiful consortium. Looking forward all the
continued Sage-Jupyter collaboration, dreamy or not!

Mohamed, thanks for building bridges across communities :-)

Vincent, Thierry, thank you for your early support, shaping with me
the seed of this all.

William: after Sage, with SMC you are showing for the second time the
path by believing in your dreams and implementing them. Thanks as well
for the bold move of making SMC open!

Valeriya, it was so helpful to have a second person with a deep
knowledge of the working of European proposals.

Eugenia, thank you for seeing the potential in the clumsy project we
had almost one year ago, for pointing us to the right call, and for
supporting us all along. Thanks to all the SAIC team as well, in
particular for the last Nicolas^2 sprint.

Lead PI's: please say thank you to all the staff that helped us. If we
did not screw up anything administratively (crossing my fingers), we
owe it to them all!

Florent, Cédric, Emilia, thanks for the support of good friends in
busy moments!

Everyone inside or outside of the proposal: it's the combined
expertise of each of you that make the technical strength of the
proposal. Thanks so much for making it happen by your contribution!

Whatever happens now, I am very much looking forward the next occasion
to work with each and all of you.

And, to start with, for our upcoming Cost proposal writing. Yes, March
24th. Only two months from now. Marco will get back to us in a couple
days to start the process (thank you Marco!).

But let's not worry about it for now and just rejoice!

Albane, Adèle, Élise, thank you for your patience, especially these
last crazy weeks. Daddy is running back home now!

Cheers,
                                Nicolas
