Dear Sage developers, Summary: the EU is looking to pass a new copyright act that would require sharing platforms to filter for copyright infringements. For software sharing platforms like GitHub, GitLab, ... this is very problematic and might endanger open source development as we know it.
You may want to read https://savecodeshare.eu/ and sign the open letter by the Free Software Foundation Europe to the EU there. The letter can be signed as an individual or as an organization. OpenDreamKit is planning to sign as an organization. Maybe the SageMath fundation could sign as an organization as well on behalf of the community?
