* Install Virtualbox for your OS. There are some packages for Mac OS X. * Download the old buggy Virtual Tangram from: http://virtualtangram.tiddlyspot.com/#Descargas and uncompress it. * Define a new virtual machine. Almost any tutorial on Virtualbox give you the general steps. * When the Virtualbox ask for the type of OS select Linux and Arch Linux combination and in the hard disk say that you have already one and look for the virtualTangram-1.7.vdi, put at least 1 GB of RAM and near to 6 GB for virtual size of the expandable disk image. * Go to the end of the installation process following defaults. * Launch the virtualized distro. <http://ia331434.us.archive.org/0/items/VirtualTangram/virtualTangram-1.7.vdi.7z> There are four bugs that you can solve easily but the solutions are not integrated: * Open a shell prompt (icon in the bottom side) and launch TeXmacs as root user (password: root), in that way you can launch Sage always (some times as a normal user it doesn't work). * Set the keyboard to Latin America using: setxkbmap latam (English keyboard "s" and "d" keys doesn't work and because we don't use that here I didn't get the interest for patching). * Sometimes icons in the bottom bar disappear mysteriously. Second click on the bar and choose add launcher and put the command of the app that you want to launch. I hope to make an updated release this semester at the beginning with a more recent version of sage and good English support for example, so if you to wait a couple of weeks may be you will not have to deal with this oldie buggie release.
