USB drives? I haven't used the live CD, but I would guess they're already installed, although maybe there are no easy GUIs. it should be easy to install an ftp or ssh client. Those packages are small and very useful for a live CD. Maybe contact the guy who makes the live CD -- I'm sure he'd be happy to help out.
