Could you be more precise by what you mean by "all the help
options did not work". Which help options? Where? What was the
error message?

You might want to restart your web browser. Anyway, the way to install
the jsmath font is to go to this web page
http://www.math.union.edu/~dpvc/jsMath/download/jsMath-fonts.html
and download TeX-fonts-10.zip then unpack the archive and drag the
fonts to your Library/Fonts folder. Also restart your browser. The jsmath
fonts are like any other OS X fonts.

You reinstall Sage by deleting one install and installing it again. What

Unfortunately, I don't think there is currently support for turning of jsmath
globally in Sage.
