I found this post when facing a similar problem. In a different post, I read that any html code can be placed between the cells if we edit the plain text version of the notebook. However, if I try linking to an image in my file system, it is not displayed. <img src = "file:/// Users/(...)"> does not seem to find the file, while this is not a problem on my system if I create a 'normal' html page. Is there a simple explanation and/or workaround for this?
